Hey, I’m Lynsey, founder and Master Trainer of The Sculpt Method. I’m a 42 year old mum of 3 children and I have qualifications in Personal Training, Callanetics, Biomechanics and Menopause. Im also an ex gymnast. The inspiration behind my exercises come from my knowledge, experience and love of all these areas. Sculpt exercises are all mat and barre based, can be done with or without equipment and are designed for people of all sexes, fitness levels and limitations to enjoy and progress.
Because of this, I wanted the Sculpt exercises to be non impact, thus placing no stress on the joints and back. They are designed to build lean muscles around the joints, helping the body to stabilise itself. Since developing and practising Sculpt every day, I no longer experience pain in my joints, my back is stronger and my posture has improved beyond comparison. I want other people who may have similar problems with their joints and back to benefit as much as I have from the Sculpt exercises - thats my mission, thats my passion!
Finally I wanted to create a exercise discipline that was totally different from anything else around. Sculpt is just that - unique. The 3 ranges of movements used, coupled with the intense stretching gives a full body workout that is as amazing as it is intense. I challenge anyone to find a class that makes you makes your body feel as worked and stretched as Sculpt does.
One of my main philosophies is that I believe sculpt as with all exercise should be fun. The class is not easy but i strive to make sure there is always a relaxed and positive feel, where everyone - no matter their level, feels welcome and encouraged.
